Edgar Allen Poe


Edgar Allen Poe was born in 1809 and he died in 1849. He was born in Boston to David Poe who was an Alcoholic and Elizabeth Poe who was an actress. His father left Edgar when he was 2 years old. After that Edgar Allen Poe's mother took him and his kids to Virginia. A year later when he was 3 years old she passed away.

After his parents died he was give to John and Frances Allan. They sent him to England and he was raised in boarding schools. While Edgar was in college he didn't have enough money to survive so he had to leave college. He then had to try other stuff in order to survive, such as working at his step-father's business and joining the army, because he didn't have any money.

Many people thought that Edgar was insane. Even though he never attended a Sanitarium and there wasn't any evidence that he suffered from "madness." Also, every woman that came in to his life and was important to him, died. Edgar Allen Poe did suffer from Alcoholism, depression and also had a gambling problem. After, he got married to his cousin Virginia Clemm when she was 13 and he was 27. A couple years later she died and Edgar began writing murder stories. By that time he was an alcoholic and going through a crazy depression state of mind. In 1849 he died and was buried in Baltimore's Presbyterian Cemetery.

THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday out of the year. I enjoy this holiday, because it's a holiday where you get to spend a lot of time with your family. It's a great day, because everyone hangs out and eats good food, and basically enjoys each other's company. 

During Thanksgiving my family usually goes on a trip before the actual day. When we come back our whole entire family gets together. Everyone brings something to eat such as the turkey, ham or the sides. Everyone talks about what they used to do when they were younger, or laugh about what they used to do.

I personally love when my family is together, it makes me really happy. I love when everyone is happy around me. I enjoy my family's company, so that's why I love Thanksgiving because it bring everyone together.

IMPRESSIONISM

Impressionism is considered more of modern art. Its originated from Paris artists. When they paint there pictures they use very small brushstrokes. I like how it has a lot of emphasis on the colors and the colors that they use makes they picture beautiful. 

I enjoy artwork that has a lot of color. Impressionism artwork has colors that are bright and vivid. The brush strokes are very delicate and the details are painted wonderfully.

5. Nikita
I really like this show, because it gives me a thrill when I'm watching it. I like how the main actress works for a Black Ops group who kill bad people and finds out secrets. I think that all of the actors and actresses in Nikita make me feel like I know them and I'm apart of the show.

4. Gossip Girl
This show is very interesting, and makes me feel like I need to keep watching. Blake Lively is one of my favorite actresses so I love this show. It's also not my life at all, so that's what makes it super interesting. Also, I've always wondered what it's like to be born and raised in high class New York society.

3. Pretty Little Liars
I really like this show, because the way it's made leaves people wanting more and more. By the end of each episode it spills something big, but it doesn't show you a bunch of information about what it is. So then you have to wait to next week to see what happens. So they made it to make you want to keep watching the show, because you'll want to know what happens next. 

2. 90210
I like this show, because it has a lot of drama in it. It also shows you that even the richest kids have a lot of problems and all they have is their money. All the characters in this show basically get you attached to them and make you feel as if you are close with them.

 1. Keeping Up with the Kardashians
This show is so interesting to me, because there drama is so funny. There's a lot of fights in the show that are pointless, but it's really funny how much drama they all have. I also love seeing how famous people live their life day to day. It also makes you not want everyone to know who you are, because there whole life is under the spotlight which can be very bad, because they get judged every day.

These 5 shows are my ultimate favorite shows ever. These shows made me super interested to watch the all of there seasons on Netflix. I also think the actresses and actors in these shows are amazing, and they make me feel like I know them in person. 

Perserverance

If I were offered 50 dollars right now or 100 dollars in a year I would pick 100 dollars in a year. If I got the 50 dollars right now I would probably spend it on something pointless. That's why I would pick the 100 dollars, so that way I would have something to look forward to.

One of my goals for my life is to eventually become an event planner. I hope to one day have my own business. I have already internet searched everything that I need to do to become an event planner. I also have called event planning places to see what types of qualities they need in people to become an event planner.

My conversation with Alexis Neiers

If I could choose to sit down with any person I would choose Alexis Neiers. She's one of the girls from the Bling Ring. Her and her friends went into Paris Hilton's, Orlando Bloom's, Lindsey Lohan's and other stars homes. They went in and stole diamonds, designer bags, rolex's and other expensive things when they weren't home. They were on drugs and stealing thousands and thousands of dollars.

They didn't get caught for the longest time, and because they kept getting away with it they kept on stealing. I would choose this person, because I would want to find out the reason why they did it, and what was going on in their brains while this was happening. The story is super interesting, so I would really want to figure out why they were doing it.

Sarcoma tumors usually originate in the soft tissues of the body. The cells of each type of sarcoma look different when under a microscope, based on what type of soft tissue in which the cancer began. Sarcoma can affect people of all ages.

Sarcoma is a very rare disease. Reason being that it's so rare, it is very crucial for parents to seek a cancer specialist for their disease. Sarcoma is very difficult to detect, and it often misdiagnosed and very complex to treat.

Stranded

The first thing that I would take with me if I was stranded on an island is my clothes if I could. The reason I would take them is I would need to have stuff to change into everyday. My clothes are really important to me so that's why I would want to take them. I wouldn't want to dress myself with leaves or anything.

The second thing that I would take with me is a boat or a raft. If I brought food it would go bad, so that's why I would have to bring some sort of water mobile to hunt for fish. It would have to just be something to get me what I need. 

The last thing that I would bring with me is blankets. I would need to keep warm at night so I would have to bring blankets so I can stay warm. I would build some kind of house to sleep in where I would be safe. That's why I would need blankets to be comfortable and stay warm at night.

I would choose these items because I feel like this is the stuff I would need to survive. I would need the tent so it would protect me at night and I would have a safe place to sleep in. I would need the survival knife if I ever needed it to cut things or anything. I would also need the Mountain survival food to eat. Lastly, I would need a blanket to keep me warm at night and to not freeze to death. Also I would bring one thing of conditioner to use for my hair when I bathe in the water. If I had these supplies I would definitely survive on an island for 6 months.

My Wisdom

If I had a kid I would not want them to do drugs. I would let them know what drugs do to you, but I wouldn't yell at them. I feel like if your strict and you put a lot of pressure on your kids, is was makes them want to disobey you. I would explain to them and make them want to not do them because I would make them understand what they do to you without saying, "You'll be in trouble."


I also would let them know that people that would sell them drugs could put chemicals in them that would be bad for them and they could die. There's more things in life to be happy about then doing drugs. I want my kids to be happy and have a good life without lying to themselves and doing drugs.

Heroin

Heroin is one of the worst drugs for you and can cause a lot of harm to you, and the people around you.  It's a Drug that once people try it they get addicted to it really fast. Death from an overdose of Heroin can either take several minutes or it can take several hours.

There are also many other things that are bad about Heroin. If you use needles that other people used, which most Heroin users don't care, is that you can get HIV. Many people start using because they see other people using at have the "I don't care" attitude. The drug is so bad and people who use it lose almost everything in their life such as their family, friends, and other things that were once important to them. It's not worth it to lose everything and have a horrible life.

My opinions on smoking is that I think that it's gross. I think that everybody does not like smoking and everyone thinks it's gross. Even the people that smoke cigarette's think it's gross they just want the feel of it in their mouth. I know a lot of people that smoke cigarette's and they do want to quit but somehow they can't because their so addicted to having the feeling that it gives them.

Smoking isn't that attractive either. There is a lot of things that smoking causes to your body. Cigarette's   contain many chemicals and such that can make you a lot closer to death. Why would people want to lead themselves to death anyways? Many Kids see other kids smoking at parties and such and think its cool so they smoke a couple and then become addicted. Once someone tries it or they see other people do it and try it is the reason why many people become addicted. It's not something that you really need it's just your mind making you think that you need it. All in all, I think that smoking is disgusting and everybody should quit or at least find a way to quit.

My thought on Marijuana is that I am for it. My uncle owns clinics and he and my aunt which is his twin both had cancer. My Uncle had cancer and because of him smoking weed and after he had surgery it has not come back since. I am not for people that just do it just because they feel like it. I believe in Marijuana for people that really need it.

Sources say that Marijuana hasn't done any harm to anyone. It helps with a lot of diseases such as sclerosis, eyesight problems, muscle spasms and such. I don't think it's right when people abuse it and use it for dumb things, or If they get a medicinal card just because they feel like they want to get high.

I think it's a good medicine to use if you have major pain or even cancer. Cancer patients that use marijuana need it to take some of the pain away, sleep and even also eat. Therefore, I do believe in marijuana for medicinal purposes.

My Favorite Singer

My favorite singer is Michael Buble. He is from Canada, and besides being a singer, he is also a songwriter. He sings mostly Vocal Jazz. I think his lyrics are great, and they actually have meaning and he doesn't just sing random words. 

His song "everything" means a lot to me because, before my aunt that was battling cancer died, she had dedicated that song to our family because we had a rough couple years finding out that both my aunt and uncle had cancer. Michael Buble's album "Crazy Love" is my ultimate favorite. His album was number 1 for 2 weeks on the U.S billboard. 

Michael Buble's music beginnings started in 2000. He has won many awards for his great songs and albums. He has won awards at ceremony's such as the American Music Awards and the Grammy awards. All in All I think that Michael Buble is a wonderful singer and vocalist, and his songs are very inspiring.

My hobby

My favorite hobby is Swimming. When I was younger I used to take swimming lessons. When I was a freshman and sophomore I was in swim. We had 3 hour practices everyday and before we actually got in the water they made us do cardio on the grass. I really like swim because you work out almost every muscle in your body. 

My best stroke in Swim was backstroke. It was my favorite to do in races. I think that swim is a great exercise and it is really fun to do. Before the races I would get major butterflies, because it's so intimidating and you're not doing it with your whole team you're competing by yourself. 

All in all, Swim is my favorite Hobby. I always looked forward to it because I did have a lot of fun. Every time i dived in the water I was determined to do my best. I wish I still stayed in it because I really enjoyed it. 

My favorite Movie

My favorite movie is Taken starring Liam Neeson which came out in 2008. I personally think that he is a very good actor and he knows what he's doing. Liam's character he plays is a retired CIA agent that has to use his old skills to save his daughter.

I also really like this movie because it has a lot of action and it's considered a thriller. I also think they did a great job filming this movie and picked great characters. I hate movies where there is not a good plot. I definitely think this movie has a great story line to it. 115

All in all, i think Taken is one of the greatest action thrillers ever made. This movie was filmed in Paris which i also think is really cool because I've always wanted to go to Paris. This is a wonderful movie and i think that everyone should watch it.

GMO's are animals or plants that have been genetically engineered with DNA from bacteria, viruses or other plants and animals. There is also a lot of evidence that connects GMO's with health problems and can cause environmental damage. Monsanto is an agriculture that delivers agriculture products that support all farmers around the world. GMO's also violate farmers and consumers rights. 

I personally think that GMO's are a health concern. Especially when people don't know if their food that they buy contains GMO's. Most people in the world want to know if their food contains GMO's. 

Being Charitable

The charity I picked is American Cancer Society. I really like this charity because they help kids and adults who are battling cancer. I feel like this would be a great charity to help, because these kids are so innocent and didn't choose this life for themselves. These kids cannot have a normal life because of the life that was chosen for them.

American Cancer Society also helps adults who have cancer. I think all of the people who have cancer deserve a donation. Every cent counts and can go toward there surgeries or pay for their medicine.

Cancer is a very horrible disease. And its horrific for the person who has it and for their family. Many people who have cancer cannot afford to pay for the expenses and may need help paying for it. It's also very sad, because there isn't really a "cure" for cancer. So if you have cancer you are most likely to always have it unless you are lucky. All in all American Cancer Society is a great charity to help.

I like to swim because, its a great activity that involves a great workout for your body. I enjoy swimming so much because I love sports that involve water. I really like that it's an independent sport and you don't need a whole team competing at the same time. Even though the whole team works together to try and get the best scores.

 

My favorite stroke in swimming is the backstroke. It was the stroke that I was the best at. Also, when I was on the swim team everyone got along and always cheered for our team members. We also cheered for the other team too. We thought we would be better teammates if we cheered for our team as well as the other team.

 

I think I am an expertise about swimming, because I know how to swim and all the rules about the game. I am a great team member, because I never put anyone down and I always cheered for them no matter what. I love swimming and I enjoyed everything about it.

The best thing I did this Summer

The best thing i did this summer was go to the river with my family and my friends. My family has seadoos and a boat so we love to go to the river. When we go everyone just relaxes the whole time and we just do fun things. It feels like were getting away from the real world. Every time i go there its 120 degrees so i stay in the water all day. I love riding on the water on our boat with everyone because it gets so fun and crazy!

This summer was definitely the most fun I've had all year. There's also a bunch of cliff's that we jumped off. It's something that i love because at first its kind of scary before you jump, but when you land in the water you want to keep jumping. All in all, the best thing i did this summer was go to the river with my family and friends.
